As primeiras StarChip de Breakthrough Iniciatives, micro naves do tamanho de um pequeno circuito impresso, foram largadas no espaço a bordo de dois satélites.

Esta sondas quadradas, com 3,5 centímetros de largura, pesam poucas gramas, mas contêm painéis solares, computadores, sensores e rádios e são o primeiro passo no desenvolvimento das naves ultra miniaturizadas que o projecto Breakthrough Starshot planeia lançar no futuro na direcção do sistema solar mais próximo do nosso, Alpha Centauri.

The first StarChips of Breakthrough Initiatives, micro-sized spaceships, were dropped into space aboard two satellites.

These 3.5-cm-wide square-sized probes weigh a few grams but contain solar panels, computers, sensors and radios and are the first step in the development of the ultra-miniaturized spacecraft that the Breakthrough Starshot project want to launch in the future in the direction of the nearest solar system , Alpha Centauri.

Como serão os extraterrestres ? / ETs, how they look ?

Como serão os extra terrestres?
A minha opinião vale o que vale neste momento, tanto ou tão pouco como a dos mais avançados cientistas.
Penso que o género humano, entenda-se todo um tipo de criaturas com o mesmo desenho base, existe um pouco por toda a galáxia e até por todo o universo.
Poderá ter imensas variações de tamanho, cor e tipo de pele ou revestimento, poderá ser mais atarracado ou esguio, com cabeças mais ou menos desenvolvidas, equipadas com bocas, narizes, orelhas e olhos mais exóticos, mas no essencial este desenho deve ter tido sucesso em todo o cosmos.
Apenas na Terra, veja-se a variedade de seres humanos que coexistem, moldados pelos continentes, pelo clima e pelo tempo.
Obviamente que outros tipos de criaturas, terrestres, aquáticas e até aéreas ou subterrâneas, poderão ter evoluído e alcançado o estatuto de raças inteligentes, conceito que também poderá ser muito variado conforme os sistemas solares, as galáxias, os aglomerados de galáxias etc....

My opinion is so valid at this moment, as that of the most scientists.
I think the human race, i mean, all kind of creatures with the same basic design, there is a bit throughout the galaxy and even throughout the universe.
You may have huge variations in size, color and type of skin or coat, it may be more large or slim, with heads more or less developed,
Equipped with mouths, noses, ears and more exotic eyes, but in essence this design must have been successful throughout the cosmos.
Only on Earth, we can see the variety of human beings that coexist, shaped by continents, climate, and time.
Obviously other types of creatures, terrestrial, aquatic and aerial or underground, may have evolved and achieved the status of intelligent races, concept that can vary according to solar systems, galaxies, clusters of galaxies etc ....

O velho rover Opportunity, prossegue a sua aventura.
À beira da cratera Endeavour, prepara-se para começar a descer o Vale da Perseverança, uma ravina que os cientistas pensam ter sido formada pela água, gelo ou vento. É a primeira vez, que um dos robots vai percorrer e estudar uma da famosas ravinas de Marte.

The old rover Opportunity, continues his adventure.
At the edge of the Endeavor crater, it will descent the Perseverance Valley, which scientists think has been formed by water, ice or wind. It is the first time that one of the robots will go and study one of the famous gullys of Mars.
