Quarta onda gravitacional detectada pelo LIGO / Fourth gravitational wave detected by LIGO

Pela primeira vez, a detecção de uma onda gravitacional, foi feita por três detectores espalhados pelo mundo, dois Ligo, um em  Livingston, Louisiana e o outro em Hanford, Washington e um terceiro, Virgo, na Itália.
Esta onda, GW170814, produzida pela fusão de dois buracos negros a 1,8 bilião de anos-luz de distância chegou aos três detectores com milissegundos de diferença e a triangulação dos sinais recebidos, permitiu pela primeira vez em dois anos, localizar a sua origem com maior rigor.

For the first time, the detection of a gravitational wave was made by three detectors scattered around the world, two Ligo, one in Livingston, Louisiana and the other in Hanford, Washington and a third, Virgo, in Italy.
This wave, GW170814, produced by the merger of two black holes 1.8 billion light years away, reached the three detectors with milliseconds of difference and the triangulation of the signals received, allowed for the first time in two years to locate their origin with greater rigor.
