O telescópio ExoLife Finder (ELF), da PLANETS Foundation, poderá vir a ser um dos projectos mais excitantes de todos os tempos, se a fundação conseguir o necessário financiamento.
Segundo o site oficial, conseguirá visualisar planetas até 24 anos-luz da terra, detectar sinais energéticos de vida e delinear oceanos e continentes, se eles existirem. Se for construido, será no deserto de Atacama, no Chile e o seu primeiro objectivo será  Proxima b, o exoplaneta mais próximo de nós e que fica no sistema de Proxima Centauri.

The PLANETS Foundation's ExoLife Finder (ELF) telescope could be one of the most exciting projects of all time if the foundation gets the necessary funding.
According to the official website, it will be able to visualize planets up to 24 light-years from Earth, detect energy signals of life and delineate oceans and continents, if they exist. It will be built in the Atacama desert in Chile and its first objective will be Proxima b, the closest exoplanet to us and that is in the Proxima Centauri system.
