Psyche, um asteróide metálico / Psyche, a metallic asteroid

Em Agosto de 2022 deverá ser lançada uma sonda que vai visitar um asteróide sui generis, o metálico Psyche, com uma superfície exposta de ferro e níquel, que se supõe ser parte do núcleo de um antigo planeta do início da formação do sistema solar.
A pequena sonda deverá usar propulsão eléctrica, de nova geração, que está a ser desenvolvida por cientistas da Arizona State University e do Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

In August 2022, a probe will visit a sui generis asteroid, the metallic Psyche, with an exposed surface of iron and nickel, which is supposed to be part of the nucleus of an ancient planet from the beginning of the formation of the solar system.
The small probe will be powered by new generation electric propulsion, which is being developed by scientists at Arizona State University and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
