A cápsula, equipada com cinco instrumentos científicos irá efectuar órbitas circulares e polares a cerca de 100 quilómetros de altitude. O módulo lunar tem três instrumentos com fins científicos e o rover tem dois.
During the first quarter of this year, India is expected to launch a GSLV MKII rocket from Sriharikota, with a scientific cargo, a spacecraft consisting of an orbital capsule and a lunar module witch will land on the surface of the satellite near the south pole. The lander must separate from the capsule and perform the lunar maneuvers autonomously and carry a small vehicle of 20 kilograms and six wheels that will explore the vicinity of the place of landing for 14 days.
The capsule, equipped with five scientific instruments, will perform circular and polar orbits at about 100 kilometers of altitude. The lunar module has three instruments for scientific purposes and the rover has two.
