Euclid, artistic vision / visão artística.

The future space observatory of ESA is due to be launched in June 2022, to study in depth the expansion of the universe. Euclid will map and visualize billions of galaxies, the distribution of visible matter and black matter and their expansion over the last billions of years.
The spacecraft will consist of a service module with navigation and power systems built by the company Thales Alenia Space and the scientific module, responsibility of Airbus, which includes a telescope with 3 reflectors with a diameter of 1.2 meters, a wide aperture camera in visible light and a near-infrared spectrometer and photometer.

O futuro observatório espacial da ESA deverá ser lançado em Junho de 2022, para estudar a fundo a expansão do universo. O Euclid irá mapear e visualizar biliões de galáxias, a distribuição da matéria visível e da matéria negra e a sua expansão durante os últimos biliões de anos.
A nave será constituída por um módulo de serviço, com os sistemas de navegação e de energia, construído pela empresa Thales Alenia Space e pelo módulo científico, da responsabilidade da Airbus, que inclui um telescópio com 3 reflectores com 1,2 metros de diâmetro, uma camara de grande abertura em luz visível e um espectrómetro e fotómetro para infravermelhos próximos.
