LBTO and/e PEPSI, reveal the secrets of starlight / revelam os segredos da luz das estrelas.

The Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) and PEPSI (Potsdam Echelle Polarimetric and Spectroscopic Instrument) published 48 spectral atlases of bright stars of reference, including the Sun.
These high-resolution spectral atlases, far superior to usual, provide detailed information on temperature, pressure, chemical composition, and even about star velocities.

O Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) e o instrumento PEPSI ( Potsdam Echelle Polarimetric and Spectroscopic Instrument ) publicaram 48 atlas espectrais de estrelas brilhantes de referência, incluindo o Sol.
Estes atlas espectrais de alta resolução, muito superior ao habitual, fornecem informações detalhadas sobre a temperatura, pressão, composição química e até das velocidades das estrelas observadas.

Virgin Galactic, successful return to powered flights / regresso com sucesso aos voos com motor.

The VSS Unity  conducted today a supersonic flight propelled by the rocket engine, having been dropped at an altitude of 46,500 feet above the Sierra Nevada by the WhiteKnightTwo carrier vehicle.
It was the first motorized flight made after the terrible crash of the VSS Enterprise in 2014.

O VSS Unity efectuou hoje um voo supersónico propulsionado pelo motor de foguetão, depois de ter sido largado a uma altitude de 46500 pés sobre a Sierra Nevada pelo transportador WhiteKnightTwo.
Foi o primeiro voo com motor feito depois do terrível acidente do VSS Enterprise em 2014.

Hubble, photographs the most distant star seen to this day. / fotografa a estrela mais distante vista até hoje.

Hubble discovered the giant Icarus in the depths of space.
O Hubble descobriu a gigante Icarus nos confins do espaço.

Using the gravitational lens effect of a half-way galaxy cluster, Hubble photographed the star Icarus, a blue giant that is 9 billion light-years away (and wich probably has already transformed into a supernova long ago), in such a distant zone of the space that the galaxies themselves are mere luminous points.

Usando o efeito de lente gravitacional de um aglomerado de galáxias que fica a meio caminho, o Hubble fotografou a estrela Icarus, uma gigante azul que fica a 9 biliões de anos luz (e que provavelmente já se transformou numa supernova há muito tempo), numa zona do espaço tão longínqua que as próprias galáxias são meros pontos luminosos.

Exos Aerospace, space is for everyone! / o espaço é para todos!

The motto of this small aerospace company is " to make space available to the masses."

Space is the new frontier that everyone wants to overcome and the planet no longer satisfies the ambitions of the more adventurous.

Exos Aerospace has developed a small rocket, the Sarge Suborbital Autonomous Rocket with GuidancE, and plans to launch it as early as April from the increasingly busy Spaceport America in an attempt to reach 80 kilometers of altitude, a little less than is needed for true suborbital flights, but enough to catch the attention of NASA and its Flight Opportunities program.

O lema desta pequena empresa aerospacial  é " tornar o espaço acessível às massas".

O espaço é a nova fronteira que todos querem ultrapassar e o planeta já não satisfaz as ambições dos mais aventureiros.

A Exos Aerospace desenvolveu um pequeno foguetão, o Sarge, Suborbital Autonomous Rocket with GuidancE, e planeia lançá-lo já em Abril a partir do cada vez mais movimentado Spaceport America, numa tentativa de atingir os 80 quilómetros de altitude, um pouco menos do que é necessário para verdadeiros voos suborbitais, mas o suficiente para chamar a atenção da Nasa e do seu programa "NASA’s Flight Opportunities".
