Ontem, a NASA revelou a descoberta pelo Curiosity de moléculas orgânicas, possíveis precursoras de eventuais formas de vida, actuais ou passadas. Não é a tão ansiada descoberta de vida, mas é um sinal, juntamente com a descoberta da variação sazonal da emissão de metano, de que, a cada nova missão de exploração ficamos mas perto daquela que será para já a maior descoberta da humanidade.
Nos próximos anos, a "farejadora de metano", Trace Gas Orbiter e novo rover da ESA previsto para 2020, assim como as novas missões da NASA, a InSight que está a caminho do planeta e a nova missão robótica Mars 2020, prometem mais e excitantes novidades...
