NGC 3199, a ghost ship in Carina / um barco fantasma em Carina.

The NGC 3199 is a well-known and studied nebula that lies in the constellation Carina, 12,000 light years from Earth.
It looks like the hull of a boat lost in the fog, in the great cosmic ocean.
This nebula houses a giant Wolf-Rayet star, HD 89358, a massive and extremely hot star that has contributed to the rounded shape of the nebula with the fury of its stellar winds.

A NGC 3199 é uma nebulosa muito conhecida e estudada que se situa na constelação de Carina ( ou da Quilha) a 12.000 anos-luz da Terra.
Parece o casco de um barco perdido no nevoeiro, no grande oceano cósmico.
Esta nebulosa alberga uma estrela gigante, do tipo Wolf-Rayet, a HD 89358, um astro maciço e extremamente quente que tem contribuído para o formato arredondado da nebulosa com a a fúria dos seus ventos estelares.
