ALMA, SS 433, an incandescent helix / uma hélice incandescente.

SS 433, SS 433, a microquasar just 18,000 light years from Earth / um microquasar a apenas 18000 anos luz da Terra.

SS 433, is a microquasar, whose image was captured by the ALMA radio telescope at sub-millimeter wavelengths (wavelengths between infrared and radio in the electromagnetic spectrum).
In the image we can see the aspect of helix, caused by the emission of violent jets of energy from the disk of incandescent material that envelops the black hole and that spins slowly through the space, occupying an area which is about 5000 times greater than ours solar system.

SS 433, é um microquasar cuja imagem foi capturada pelo radiotelescópio ALMA, em comprimentos de onda submilimétricos ( comprimentos de onda entre o infravermelho e o rádio no espectro eletromagnético ).
Na imagem podemos ver o aspecto de hélice, causada pela emissão de violentos feixes de energia a partir do disco de material incndescente que encolve o buraco negro e que rodopia lentamente pelo espaço, ocupando uma área que é cerca de 5000 vezes maior do que o nosso sistema solar.

SpaceX, StarHopper, wrapped in a fireball during the Raptor's static test / envolto numa bola de fogo durante o teste estático do Raptor.

During the Raptor test, the fire spread and involved the StarHopper, but the situation worsened when firefighters used water cannons to control the fire. It is not known whether the damage caused to the rocket prototype is serious or not.

Durante o teste do Raptor, o fogo espalhou-se e envolveu o StarHopper, mas a situação piorou quando os bombeiros usaram canhões de água para controlarem o incêndio. Para já não se sabe se os danos causados no protótipo do foguetão são ou não graves.

ALMA, detects possible nursery of exomoons / detecta possível berçário de exoluas.

The ALMA radio telescope discovered a star system 370 light years from Earth, the PDS 70, with at least two inner planets, Jupiter type, PDS 70 b and PDS 70 c, and a huge circumstellar disk.
One of the planets, PDS 70c has a circumplanetary disk, which may be the birthplace of one or more moons.
To date, none exomoon has been discovered because the process used to detect planets by the dimming of the star when some planet passes in front of it, is even more dificult and inefficient for the detection of small moons in orbit of another planet.
Recently a team from Columbia University, New York, Alex Teachey and David Kipping, suspected the existence of a possible exomoon around the distant planet Kepler-1625b, but even with the help of the Hubble Space Telescope, they could not confirm it.
Nevertheless, this observation of the ALMA is yet another remarkable breakthrough, and no doubt that the future terrestrial and space-based optical telescopes, now being build, will provoke a huge revolution in this and other fields of astronomy.

O radiotelescópio ALMA descobriu um sistema estelar a 370 anos luz da Terra, o PDS 70, com pelo menos 2 planetas interiores, do tipo Júpiter, PDS 70 b e PDS 70 b, e um enorme disco circunstelar.
Um dos planetas, o PDS 70 c tem um disco circunplanetário, que poderá ser o local de nascimento de uma ou mais luas.
Até hoje não foi descoberta nenhuma exolua, porque o processo usado para a detecção de planetas, através da variação da luminosidade da estrela, quando algum planeta passa à sua frente, é ainda mais complicado e ineficiente para a detecção de pequenas luas em órbita de outro planeta.
Recentemente uma equipa da Universidade de Columbia, Nova Iorque, Alex Teachey e David Kipping, suspeitou da existência de uma possível exolua, em redor do distante planeta Kepler-1625b, mas, mesmo com a ajuda do telescópio espacial Hubble, não o conseguiu confirmar.
Apesar de tudo, esta observação do ALMA é mais um avanço notável e sem dúvida que os futuros super telescópios ópticos terrestres e espaciais, agora a ser construídos, irão provocar uma enorme revolução neste e em outros campos da astronomia.

The gigantic antennas of this radioastronomical observatory are located in the Atacama Desert, Chile, on a plateau that is 5000 meters above sea level.

As gigantescas antenas deste observatório radioastronómico, situam-se no deserto do Atacama, no Chile, num planalto que está 5000 metros acima do nível do mar.

JAXA, Hayabusa 2, the japanese probe collected more samples from Ryugu / a sonda japonesa recolheu mais amostras de Ryugu.

The probe Hayabusa 2  touched the asteroid again to collect more soil samples.
