Virgin Galactic has been known for a few years for announcing space tourism.

O último teste decorreu há dias com a nave VSS Unity que foi largada do lançador VMS Eve a 50.000 pés e efectuou um voo planado em que atingiu Mach 0.9. A experiência foi considerada um sucesso e por isso aproxima-se o dia em que a Virgin Galactic transportará os primeiros turistas para o espaço, a partir do seu aeroporto espacial no Novo México.

The last test took place days ago with the VSS Unity spacecraft that was dropped from the VMS Eve launcher at 50,000 feet and made a gliding flight in which it reached Mach 0.9. The experience was considered a success and so is approaching the day when Virgin Galactic will transport the first tourists into space from its spaceport in New Mexico.

A Blue Origin poderá também começar com os voos regulares para os seus clientes este ano.
Virgin Galactic's biggest competitor on suborbital flights is Blue Origin with its New Shepard vehicle and its futuristic Crew Capsule 2.0 passenger capsule that was tested in December 2017.
Blue Origin can also start with regular flights to its customers this year.
